ARCTICulations of Faith – konferanse

ARCTICulations of Faith – Conference Bodø Cathedral
ARCTICulations of Faith is a sub-project during BODØ2024, where the program through various artistic expressions shows how religion and faith have been – and are – fundamental to people's interpretation of life and living conditions in the north. Throughout history, no aspect of life has inspired art, music and architecture more than religion and people's need for religious expression. We live in a time where people travel a lot. We are stimulated by encounters with other cultures and religious customs. This affects us. Awareness of one's own culture and history, and openness to values from other parts of the world, inspire reflection on the relationship between culture, art and religion.
To summarize the theme and the various artistic and cultural expressions that the project has programmed, we hereby invite you to a conference on 10–12 November in Bodø. In addition to the experience of cultural events and concerts, we will take a closer look at the various ARCTICulations of Faith projects and discuss it during the conference: What did we do, what did we aspire, how did it go? Several artists and cultural actors who have contributed to the projects will be present at the conference and share their experiences.
The conference is relevant for freelancers, church employees, cultural school teachers, employees in public cultural administration, volunteer cultural workers, artists, musicians and all those interested in art and culture, who are engaged by the aforementioned theme – ARCTICulations of Faith.
